"Colonialism plus slavery plus industrialization plus capitalism produced great American art", - a rather repulsed Theo Parrish. Socialism plus the fall of the wall, plus acid-capitalism plus melancholy plus zest for life has created great Thüringen art, spoken without aversion by the writer of these lines. Douglas Greed attempts to refine his style on his new 12' for FAT from a danceable gloom to a weighty aesthetic whereby his trademarked densely packed tracks remain. His pieces have that little bit of something for the floor: concentration on the groove paired up with an idearich and heavy deepness, spiritual thumps united with a nocturnal glee, along with a foaminess and dirt under the fingernails.
